WHAT IS TRIKKE ACADEMY?
The first Trikke Academy took place in 2007.
The Academy has brought a “boots on the ground” approach to marketing who Trikke is and what we do.
After attending their Academy session, many of those people have gone on to help introduce the Trikke lifestyle into cities throughout the country, one new rider at a time.
Joining the Trikke Certified Program means becoming part of a network of Trikke Professionals.
That means that Trikke riders, enthusiasts like you can become brand ambassadors in their community, – i.e. independent, outside sales representatives for this innovative company.
There are only a few Academy sessions offered each year. But the Academy is where it all starts.
Whether you want to start slow with our Certfied Associate program, or focus solely on sales as a Trikke Professional /representative, or take it all the way though and become a Certified Trikke Trainer/Sales Rep, or Trikke Dealer. Or maybe you’re interested in putting the Elekktrics to work for you by becoming a Trikke Tours Operator, showing off the hidden gems of your city to people from all over the world.
Either way, it all starts with Trikke Academy.
WHY DID TRIKKE CREATE THIS PROGRAM?
When someone sees a Trikke carving vehicle, often the first question they ask is, “What is that thing? And how do you make it go?”
Then they ask, “Where do I buy one?” or “Where can I try it or take a lesson?”
We developed Trikke Academy so that folks like you can answer those questions and more, and help us bring more people into the Trikke lifestyle.
Since 2001, people have been excited by Trikke vehicles and the transformative effect they can have on your health & wellness. And now with our line of Elekktrics (which are truly hybrid vehicles
Most people want to try before they buy. They want (and need) hands on, personal instruction so they can get up to speed & begin carving around their neighborhood.
So, we created a brand new business model that:
Allows Trikke vehicle riders to become representatives of the Trikke brand
Makes it possible for riding instruction to become an integral part of the carving vehicle purchase experience
Trikke Associates, Sales Reps, Trainers and Dealers work directly with Trikke Academy personnel. You don’t need a storefront or inventory. You simply need to love our products, be open to learning, and have a desire to share your passion with others.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE ACADEMY?
The basic Certification course is 2-Day course. During those 2 days, we’ll share with you all about the Trikke brand, and the full line up of Trikke carving vehicles, and how to ride them. Although we pack a lot of info, knowledge and training into 2 days, most people say they have a blast.
Each Academy includes three important segments:
- Class time – Learning about Trikke history and the brand
- Tech time – Learning about the vehicles, how they are put together, and basic Tech.
- Advanced Tech & certification is available
- Riding time – Learning how to ride a CV the right way, so you can teach customers the right way
To keep things fresh, we mix the segments up throughout the day: an hour or two of class time followed by a bit of tech, followed by a riding session, etc. We also limit Academy classes sizes so that we can offer as much individual attention as possible.
After successfully completing Trikke Academy, you will walk away a knowledgeable, professional Representative of the Trikke brand, who is not only a better carver, but who is also prepared to set out on an exciting, new business adventure!

DO I HAVE TO INTERVIEW?
Although Trikke Academy is not a job (as in, employment), once you have submitted your Questionnaire, a phone meeting /introduction /conversation between the Attendee and the Academy Director is standard for Academy applicants. (There is no fee or deposit required to apply.). The Questionnaire allows us to learn why you want to join the team and helps us get to know you a little bit better. During the call, we will tell you more about Academy and answer any questions you have. It’s pain-free, we promise!
WHAT IF I’M ALREADY IN THE TRIKKE BUSINESS?
Whether you are a current dealer, international distributor, etc.,… If you are in the Trikke business or are thinking of getting into the Trikke business, and you have not taken part in a Trikke Academy, you are missing out on vital information and perspective that can help your business grow and become more successful.
CAN I GET CERTIFIED FROM MY LOCAL TRIKKE PRO, TRAINER, OR DEALER?
While certified Trikke Trainers can offer help with riding and answer most questions about Trikke vehicles, they are not qualified to help you become Certified. Our Academy and its highly-skilled instructors offer a proven method of educating individuals who want to share Trikke vehicles with the world. We invite you to come and see what all the fuss is about!
AM I TOO OLD?
You would be surprised how frequently we are asked this question! Trikke’s prime demographic is people between the ages of 40 – 70. (We’ve found that the “no impact” aspect of Trikke vehicles appeals specifically to this age group.) Ex-president Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalyn, are avid Trikke riders and they are in their mid-80’s! So far, our oldest Academy attendee and current Certified Trikke Trainer is 78. We don’t think you’re too old, do you?
HOW DO COMMISSIONS WORK?
Sales commissions are 20% with completion of the program, and are paid on a monthly basis. (Higher-margin retail/wholesale business model options are also available.) When you submit an order, it is fulfilled and shipped directly to your customer. At the end of the month, a commission check is issued directly to you.
One of the most attractive aspects of being a Trikke Trainer is that we never push you to make sales. You decide how much time and effort you want to put into your new business venture. We are here to offer guidance and support, marketing materials, and even apparel – not sales limits or quotas.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TAKE PART IN TRIKKE ACADEMY?
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A BUNCH OF INVENTORY?
Nope. Having a few demo units on hand can be a very useful sales tool, because that offers your customers the chance to get a better sense of which model is right for them. Associates are required to own one adult size carving vehciles, Certified Trainers & Sales Rep are only required to have a minimum of 2 adult-sizes carving vehicles: one for you and one for demo/instruction.
HEY, IS THIS ONE OF THOSE “MULTI-LEVEL/PYRAMID” TYPE THINGS?
Absolutely not! This is a direct sales program designed to help you benefit from bringing Trikke to others in your community. Associates, Reps, & Trainers receive a generous commission as thank you for those who purchase a Trikke CV because of their efforts. It’s no more complicated than that.
WHAT’S THE CATCH?
Here’s the best part: there IS no catch! We want to give our biggest fans, (i.e., riders who carve often and love Trikke vehicles) every incentive to tell everyone you know about Trikke. It’s just that simple. We call that “ground-level marketing” because it emphasizes direct customer contact and direct client connection, and it means that you have the opportunity to promote this ever-growing sport and earn money in the process.
CAN I BRING A GUEST? …HOW DOES THE GUEST PROGRAM WORK? …WILL MY GUEST BE CERTIFIED TOO??
Yes, are allow you to bring one guest to go through the full training course with you for a very reasonable price. The intention of this policy is to allow attendees to bring along someone who will support them in this new opportunity (a spouse, another family member, or even a business partner). Your guest can participate fully in all classes and learn all about this new business venture you are embarking upon. They may even become a better riding partner!
Guest Fee is $150 and is subject to availability. Although guests are not obligated to attend all Classes, or hand in Homework, Exit Survey, Tests, etc, we encourage them to take part in every aspect of the Academy.
All graduating Trikke Pros will have a sales account set up for them, a listing on the Directory, and a profile page (w/ pic & bio) representing them.
One name is allowed on certificates and site listings. In rare instances (such as a change in location), a guest may decide later to have his/her own account, certificate, and listing.
To become a Certified Trikke Pro themselves, the guest must have fully participated in the entire Academy experience and completed all course requirements. (Situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.)
CAN I ATTEND TRIKKE ACADEMY AGAIN?
If you’ve previously completed a Trikke Academy session and would like to further your training, or just get updates, you may audit an Academy at a special Trikke Pro rate of $95 as long as we have the room.
There are lots of exciting things on the Trikke horizon, and we’re looking forward to exploring it all with you. We’re an international, niche market. We don’t buy multi-million dollar ad campaigns. We’re bringing Trikke to the world one person, one family, one neighborhood at a time – and it’s happening, right now. Spread the word!
