I love this machine and as an engineer, it has my complete admiration for its design. Since day one, I enjoyed riding and wanted to find all the wide concrete trails in the area to do it. Started early on working on my own Trikke and finding ways to push it to the limit. Becoming a Trainer seemed like a natural next step. Having coached many sports, I am a natural teacher who enjoys training people of all ages. Really enjoy meeting people and sharing the Trikke experience with as many people as possible.
Regarding experience, I have been riding for almost three years now. Of the nearly 20 people in the world who have finished the 100 miles ride in Florida, I am number 12 and have finished twice. Jimmy Evans is my friend and he encouraged me to really get into this sport. I purchased our first Trikke T8air for my son. He also loves it and rides, but I am the one who really got hooked. Unlike others, I really enjoy uphill riding and the challenge it presents. I ride the T12.
Why am I a Trainer? The satisfaction of helping people learn to ride quickly, safely and enjoy the Trikke. It is such a great fun exercise machine.

Hello I'm Mike Wheatley, and I became interested in the Trikke when I saw a young child riding one along the Rio Grande River. In this fantastic Federal park which has a 5 foot wide concrete path that runs for miles along the river. This park is excellent for walking, biking, and trikking. I was biking at the time, but I was looking for something that was great exercise for the WHOLE body, while being very low impact on my knees which require tender, loving care. I have not found any piece of exercise equipment which provides better TOTAL body exercise than the Trikke. So after somewhat mastering the beginning techniques of Trikking, I decided to be become a Certified Trainer/Sales Rep for Trikke. The Trikke Academy provided me the tools to not only ride much more proficiently but to also know the technical aspects and understand the physics behind the Trikke and why it works so efficiently.
I will be glad to discuss possibilities for scheduling training sessions or helping you order your very own Trikke if you do not have one. There are several models, I will be glad to discuss which one may be the best for you.
