In 2008 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had two brain surgeries, there were complications during the second surgery which caused various problems leaving me with balance control problems. It took two years to get back to a point of being somewhat athletic. Riding a regular bike was out of the question and I ended up with a 4 wheel recumbent bicycle. This journey led me to buying a Trikke T-12 carving vehicle. I was unable to ride the T-12 from the start but managed to figure it out, if I had a certified trainer, I could have saved time. While browsing the Trikke web site I came across the Trikke Academy and saw there weren’t any certified trainers in Montana and decided to apply to become a trainer. The course taught me techniques, proper positioning and how to service the carving vehicles. For those in need of physical therapy or want to get a low impact workout, the Trikke is your answer.
