WHAT IS TRIKKE ACADEMY?

It is 3 days working together to share with you all about the brand, the vehicles, and the ride. It is business, but most people also say it’s fun.

The first Trikke Academy took place in 2007. Since then, we’ve taken it on the road to cities throughout the country. The Trikke Trainer Program means that everyday riders like yourself can become independent, outside sales reps for the company. We only do a few a year, but the Academy is where it all starts whether you want to become a Certified Trikke Trainer / Sales Rep or a Certified Trikke Dealer.

WHY DID TRIKKE CREATE THIS PROGRAM?

When someone sees a Trikke Carving Vehicle, often the first question they ask is, "What is that thing, and how do you make it go?" When they ask, "Where do I go to buy one?" or, "Where can I take a lesson?", the answer to those questions may be YOU.

Since 2001, people have wanted our products. But they also want to try before they buy. They want hands on, personal instruction. They want to get up to speed & carving up their neighborhood.

So, we wanted to create a brand new business model where our riders can become representatives, and instruction becomes an integral part of the buying experience.

Trikke Trainers and Dealers work directly with us. You don't need a store front or inventory to become a Trainer. You simply need to love our products, be open to learning, and have a desire to share it with others.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE ACADEMY?

Every Academy includes 3 things: Class time, tech time, and riding time. To keep things fresh, we continually break these up throughout the day. We keep all Academy classes to a reasonable size so that we can offer as much individual attention as possible.

You will walk away a better rider, and a knowledgeable rep. who is better prepared to start your own business endeavor.

DO I HAVE TO INTERVIEW?

This is not a job (as in employment), but a phone conversation is standard for Academy applicants. There is no fee or deposit required to apply. The basic application allows us to get a better sense of you, and why you want to join the Trainer team. Once you have submitted your application, a quick phone mtg. / introduction is normally scheduled with the Academy Director.

IS THE TRIKKE ACADEMY /TRAINER PROGRAM JUST FOR CERTIFIED TRAINERS?

We've been in business for 12 years. We have a lot to share about the Trikke business. Trikke Academy is our way of doing that. The bottom line is that we want you to be successful.
So, whether you are an enthusiast, current-dealer, new-dealer, international distributor, or... whatever...

If you are in the Trikke business, or thinking of getting into the Trikke business, and have not become part of the Trikke Academy /Trainer Program, you are shooting in the dark.

CAN I GET CERTIFIED FROM MY LOCAL CERTIFIED TRAINER / DEALER?

Certified Trikke Trainers can offer help with riding, and most questions about our vehicles. They are not, though, qualified to train you to get in business with the company. That’s why they came to the Academy. We welcome you to do the same.

AM I TOO OLD?

Yes, we have received this question. Our prime demographic is 40 - 70. It's the no impact fitness that appeals to this group. Ex president Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn are avid Trikke riders and they are in their mid 80's. So far our oldest attendee and current Certified Trikke Trainer is 78. We don't think you're too old, do you?

HOW DO COMMISSIONS WORK?

Commissions for sales are 20% and are paid on a monthly basis. When you submit an order, it is fulfilled and shipped directly to your customer. At the end of the month a commission check is issued directly to you.

Best of all, you decide how much time and effort makes sense to you.   We offer guidance and support, marketing materials, and even some trainer apparel. But, it is your business, and we’ll never push you to make sales.   (Higher margin retail/wholesale business model options are also available.)

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

Starting May 1st, once completing the Trikke Academy you will receive
  - Trainer Certificate signed by both John Simpson and Gildo Beleski, inventor and head designer for
   Trikke Tech, Inc.
  - Certified Trikke Trainer Shirt;
  - Certified Trikke Trainer Hat;*
  - Marketing Materials Pkg personalized with your contact info; *
  - AND a T-7 Carving Vehicle *
*(does not apply to some discount offers)

You will also have:
  - Your own Trainer/Sales Rep account with Trikke Tech;
  - A "mapped" Trainer listing;
  - And a Trainer Bio listing on both Trikke.com & TrikkeAcademy.com.

DEALERS will receive:

- Trainer Certificate signed by both John Simpson and Gildo Beleski, inventor and head designer for
   Trikke Tech, Inc.
  - Certified Trikke Trainer Shirt;
   - Both a "mapped" Trainer & Certified Dealer listing;
  - And a Dealer Bio listing on both Trikke.com & TrikkeAcademy.com under Certified Trainers & a Dealer listing under Dealers.
- Dealers will also receive an additional 5% off their orders for the first 4 months.

There will, of course, also be ongoing access and support for your Trikke endeavors.

Certified Trikke Trainers & Dealers continue to receive special pricing for all Trikke Academy hosted events, including the National Skki Inn, & the National Trikke Riding Skkool, and future Trikke Academy audits.

Will I HAVE TO PURCHASE A BUNCH OF INVENTORY?

No. Having some demo units available can be a very useful sales tool, offering people the chance to get a better sense of which model is right for them. But to be a part of the program, you are only required to have a minimum of 2 adult-size carving vehicles, one for you and one for demo / instruction. Trainers also receive a 20% discount on items they purchase.

HEY, IS THIS ONE OF THOSE "MULTI-LEVEL / PYRAMID" TYPE THINGS?

Absolutely not. This is a direct sales program designed to help you benefit from bringing Trikke to others in your community. Trainers receive a generous commission as thank you for those who purchase a Trikke CV because of their efforts. It's no more complicated than that.

WHAT'S THE CATCH?

Here's the best part… There is no catch. We want to give our biggest fans, i.e.
riders, who ride often and love it,... We want to give you every incentive to tell everyone you know about Trikke. It's that simple.

We call that ground level marketing, emphasizing direct customer contact / direct client connection. It means that you have the opportunity to promote this ever growing sport, and earn money in the process.

CAN I BRING A GUEST? / HOW DOES THE GUEST PROGRAM WORK? / WILL MY GUEST BE CERTIFIED TOO??

Our Guest Policy allows you to bring a guest to go through the full training with you for a very reasonable price. It had been a very common request. The intention of this policy is to allow attendees to bring along a spouse, other family member, or even a business partner to experience the program with them. This is normally someone who will be of some kind of support. They can participate fully with you in all classes, and get to know this new business venture you are embarking upon. They may even become a better riding partner.

Guests are not obligated to attend classes, and/or hand in homework, exit survey, tests, etc. We encourage them to take part in every aspect of the Academy, but it is not required.

All graduating Trainer /Sales Reps will have a sales account set up with Trikke. One name is allowed on certificates, and site listings.

In rare instances such as a change in location, a guest may decide later to have their own account, along with certificate and listing. They must have fully participated in the Academy experience, and each situation will be handled on a case by case basis.

The guest fee is $150 and is subject to availability.

WHEN WILL YOU BE IN MY AREA?

Coming to a Trikke Academy normally means some kind of travel, whether it is a flight, or a long drive. We only conduct 4-5 Academies a year.

A lot goes in to choosing a city location. Demand is one factor. We also may partner with an excellent Certified Trainer/Dealer who knows the area and can contribute to your Academy. Sometimes we simply want to go to a location to promote Trikke. No matter what city we choose, we try hard to create a situation with reasonable room rates with good bang for buck. You can also expect reserved riding space for our group with a good surface, and a classroom / tech set up. Normally it all takes place at a quality hotel, and we try to choose easy-access locations.

CAN I ATTEND TRIKKE ACADEMY AGAIN AFTER I'M A CERTIFIED TRAINER?

Our Certified Trainers are welcome to come and audit any Academy as long as there is space available. It is a great opportunity to get product and program updates, or maybe even up your Trainer level. There is a nominal fee of $100 for the entire 3-Day weekend. We also offer our Certified Trikke Trainers substantial discounts to our other National Trikke events such as the Skki Inn and the National Trikke Riding Skkool.
