WHAT IS TRIKKE ACADEMY?
Since 2001, people have wanted our products. But they also want to try before they buy. They want hands on, personal instruction. They want to get up to speed & carving up their neighborhood.
So, we wanted to create a brand new business model where our riders can become representatives, and instruction becomes an integral part of the buying experience.
Trikke Trainers work directly with us. You don't need a store front or inventory. You simply need to love our products, be open to learning, and have a desire to share it with others.
DO I HAVE TO INTERVIEW?
This is not a job (as in employment), but a phone conversation is standard for Academy applicants. There is no fee or deposit required to apply. The basic application allows us to get a better sense of you, and why you want to join the Trainer team. Once you have submitted your application, a quick phone mtg. / introduction is normally scheduled with the Academy Director.
CAN I BRING A GUEST? / HOW DOES THE GUEST PROGRAM WORK? / WILL MY GUEST BE CERTIFIED TOO??
Our Guest Policy allows you to bring a guest to go through the full training with you for a very reasonable price. It had been a very common request. The intention of this policy is to allow attendees to bring along a spouse, other family member, or even a business partner to experience the program with them. This is normally someone who will be of some kind of support. They can participate fully with you in all classes, and get to know this new business venture you are embarking on. They may even become a better riding partner.
Guests are not obligated to attend classes, and/or hand in homework, exit survey, tests, etc. We encouraged them take part in every aspect of the Academy, but it is not required.
All graduating Trainer /Sales Reps will have a sales account set up with Trikke. One name is allowed on certificates, and site listings.
In rare instances such as a change in location, a guest may decide later to have their own account, along with certificate and listing. They must have fully participated in the Academy experience, and each situation will be handled on a case by case basis.
WHEN WILL YOU BE IN MY AREA?
Coming to a Trikke Academy normally means some kind of travel, whether it is a flight, or a long drive. We only conduct 4-5 Academies a year.
A lot goes in to choosing a location... demand; perhaps partnering with an excellent Trainer/Dealer who you can learn from; and even just plain fun. But, we try hard to create a situation with reasonable room rates, and easy to access locations.

CAN I GET CERTIFIED FROM MY LOCAL TRAINER / DEALER?
Certified Trikke Trainers can offer help with riding, and most questions about our vehicles. They are not, though, qualified to train you to get in business with the company. That’s why they came to the Academy. We welcome you to do the same.
HOW DO COMMISSIONS WORK?
Commissions for sales are 20% and are paid on a monthly basis. When you submit an order, it is fulfilled and shipped directly to your customer. At the end of the month a commission check is issued directly to you.
Best of all, you decide how much time and effort makes sense to you. We offer guidance and support, marketing materials, and even some trainer apparel. But, it is your business, and we’ll never push you to make sales. (Higher margin retail/wholesale business model options are also available.)
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A BUNCH OF INVENTORY?
No. Having some demo units available can be a very useful sales tool, offering people the chance to get a better sense of which model is right for them. But to be a part of the program, you are only required to have a minimum of 2 adult-size carving vehicles, one for you and one for demo / instruction. Trainers also receive a 20% discount on items they purchase.
IS THIS A "MULTI-LEVEL / PYRAMID" TYPE THING?
Absolutely not. This is very simply a direct sales program where you can bring the world of Trikke to your community. For their efforts, we pay a generous commission to our Trainers for everyone who buys a Trikke carving vehicle through them. It's no more complicated than that.

WHAT'S THE CATCH?
Here's the best part… There is no catch. We want to give our biggest fans, i.e. those real riders, who ride often and love it,... We want to give you every incentive to tell everyone you know about Trikke. It's that simple.
We call that ground level marketing, emphasizing direct customer contact / direct client connection. It means that you have the opportunity to promote this ever growing sport, and earn money in the process.
CAN I ATTEND TRIKKE ACADEMY AGAIN AFTER I'M CERTIFIED?
Our Certified Trainers are welcome to come and audit any Academy as long as there is space available. It is a great opportunity to get product and program updates, or maybe even up your trainer level. There is a nominal fee of $40 for the entire 3-Day weekend. We also offer our Certified Trikke Trainers substantial discounts to our other National Trikke events such as the Skki Inn and the National Trikke Riding Skkool.
